IURC Rulemaking Update
Damage Prevention Stakeholders,
The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) has issued a Rulemaking (IURC RM #22-03) affecting Indiana’s Dig Law. This Rulemaking will go into effect on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Some of the more notable changes are:
- How the working day notice is calculated
- Tolerance zone clarification
- Requiring pipeline operators to participate in Indiana 811’s Positive Response system
