Guarding the Underground
As the designated underground plant protection center for Hoosiers, Indiana 811 is your partner in preventing damages to your underground infrastructure. Members of Indiana 811 receive timely and information-rich notifications of planned excavation near their facilities so that they can mark the approximate location of those facilities and excavators can safely dig around them.
Underground facility owners are mandated by state law to be a member of Indiana 811. Becoming a member is easy and free (Members are charged per ticket according to the area they serve). Member utilities also enjoy access to the educational and partnership resources that Indiana 811 provides to help promote safe digging across the state.
