According to Indiana Law, “working day” means every day except Saturday, Sunday and state and national legal holidays, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. prevailing time. Those dates will not be calculated when determining the minimum “two full working days” notice that is required by law.

After-hours calls to Indiana 811 will be limited to Damage and Emergency tickets. This includes Additional Notices on Emergencies. All other ticket types will only be processed during our normal operating hours, which are:

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm ET
  • On holidays indicated by an asterisk (*), the minimum working day notice will be adjusted; however, all tickets types will be accepted by phone between 7:00am and 6:00pm ET.
