Dear Indiana Educator:

Indiana 811 wants to help students and their families understand the actions that ensure safe digging around underground utilities, such as water, sewer, natural gas, electricity and communication lines. The Indiana 811 Kids Safe Digging program is a unique, highly engaging program designed to encourage fourth grade students to learn about energy sources and safe behaviors at home, at school and outside.

Through an initiative of Indiana 811’s education and outreach team, we are providing schools in your area with this outstanding energy safety education program from April to late September 2024. Each teacher will receive a classroom set of educational material for the presentation, Indiana 811 Kids Safe Digging pamphlets to share with their families, and a $25 amazon e-gift card to use within your classroom. Instructional materials are correlated to Indiana Academic Standards in science, health and safety.

We are enrolling teachers now for the Indiana 811 Kids Safe Digging program.
