Effective 12/17/2024, Indiana 811 replaced our emergency and damage ticket call out process with an automated system. This change enhances efficiency and ensures timely notifications for all affected members.
- Ticket deliveries to the destinations that receive electronic copies are not affected.
- Members may opt out of automated calls. If you do not wish to participate, no phone calls will be made.
- Indiana 811 can call during the times of your choosing, up to 24×7.
- The automated call from 317-644-4922 must be to a direct number.
– Phone numbers that require outgoing prompts or that are answered auto attendants will not work with the automated system.
- All phone numbers will be dialed at the same time.
- Each contact must press the necessary prompts to acknowledge during the automated call by the 3rd attempt. Attempts are spaced approximately 5 minutes apart.
– Example: if Contact A acknowledges, that does not relieve Contact B from acknowledging during their automated call(s).
– Voicemails do not count as acknowledgment.
- The outgoing message options to hear the ticket details and acknowledge are:
1. Press 1 for the ticket number and summary.
2. Press 2 for the ticket number.
– If selecting 1 or 2, you must select 1 again after hearing the details to acknowledge delivery.
3. Press 3 to acknowledge delivery of this call and check 811.indiana811.org (Exactix) for ticket details and to respond to the excavator
- If not acknowledged, the automatic call will convert to a manual process for one more attempt by our staff.
Each attempted manual call will be charged $5
