Action Needed. Please pass this information along to your IT department, ticket management system, and/or contract locator. If you receive by email and do not parse or extract data from that email, this will not affect you. 

Record breaking volume has exposed an issue for our members if their system is set up to only receive 10-digit ticket numbers from Indiana 811.  

  • To minimize the impact, our system will automatically expand the ticket number from 10 digits to 11 digits if more than 9999 tickets are taken in a single day. Please prepare for this immediately as this could happen at any time.  
  • The ticket number will permanently change to 11 digits on 05/14/2025 at 12am ET.  
  • Ticket number format examples:   

    • Through 11:59pm ET on 5/13/25:
    • The 1st ticket will be 2505130001 
    • If more than 9999 tickets are taken, the next ticket number will be 25051310000
  • Effective at 12 am ET on 05/14/25:
      
    • Each ticket will have 11 digits, starting with 25051400001 that day
    • Once the ticket number has been assigned, it will never change.
    • When providing positive response or searching for tickets within Exactix, you will always use the ticket number that was assigned on the original ticket.
